Category Templates

The ‘Category’ template is designated for use across the following page types:

• Brand Pages
• Category Pages
• Parts Finder Pages

Content Requirements

To add description content to the ‘Category’ template, the following content elements are required:

Content Description (content_description1):

• Must be provided to populate the description area of the template.
• The description should be concise and must not exceed 250 words.

Image (Alt_1):

• An accompanying Alt_1 image must be provided.
• The image dimensions should be 450x450 px to ensure optimal display and alignment within the template layout.

Adding link relationships

The ‘Related Categories’ field is used to add links to other pages on the site. It is a relationship builder, so it’s important to add relevant categories. The category template will generate a list of cards linking to to up to 4 related categories below the main content section before the product list.

To enable this functionality you must provide a true boolean value in the ‘show related links’ field directly following this one.

Implementation Notes

The logic is based on the population of the main description field, and so the image and text will only appear when a description is provided. Images can be added in isolation to empower other site features.
